Vince's Movie to Screen in Livermore, CA, October 28, 2004

The award-winning Dead and Breakfast will screen at the historic Vine Cinema in downtown Livermore on Thursday, October 28th at 9:30 p.m. before receiving a nationwide theatrical release next year.  The movie, which stars Jeremy Sisto (Six Feet Under, Thirteen), David Carradine (Kill Bill:  Vol. 1 & 2) and Portia de Rossi (Arrested Development, Ally McBeal), was filmed entirely in Livermore during the winter of 2003 and executive produced by Livermore resident, Joe Madden.

In the vein of Evil Dead II and From Dusk Til Dawn, Dead and Breakfast is the story of six friends on a road trip who stop for the night at a Bed and Breakfast in the sleepy town of Lovelock.  But appearances are not what they seem as the already bizarre residents of the town become possessed by an evil spirit and wreak terror on the gang, pinning them down inside the B&B.

The film, which was shot at and around an old Victorian on Tesla Road, is getting nationwide theatrical distribution by Anchor Bay Entertainment, best known for its distribution of such horror films as Night of The Living Dead.

"I'm so proud that we succeeded in making a movie in my own backyard that landed nationwide theatrical distribution.  I look forward to making another feature film here in Livermore Valley in the near future," Madden said.

Dead and Breakfast won the Best International Film and Audience Award at the Weekend of Fear Film Festival (Nuremburg, Germany) and was the Audience Award winner at the San Francisco Horror Festival.  The film has also been selected to screen at the Hollywood Film Festival as its Friday Night Premiere on October 15.  For more information on the film visit www.dandbfilm.com.

The comedy/horror film has its final festival screening on Thursday, October 28 at 9:30 p.m. at Livermore's Vine Cinema, after the Livermore Downtown Halloween Festivities.

All proceeds from the screening go to support the 6th Annual California Independent Film Festival, which will be held in Livermore Valley Wine Country November 4 - 7.  Tickets are $10 and available by calling the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association at (925) 447-WINE (9463) or Livermore Downtown at (925) 373-1795.

The 6th Annual California Independent Film Festival runs November 4 - 7, 2004 at the Cedar Mountain Winery, Murrieta's Well, Rios-Lovell Estate Winery, Tamas Estates/The Steven Kent Winery, Wente Vineyards Estate Winery, and The Vine Cinema.
